I don’t remember the last time there was such hoopla over a non-limited edition eye shadow palette. It’s a gorgeous palette for sure, but I doubt that anybody could have predicted just how popular the Naked Palette would be, or how quickly it would sell out each time new stock arrives.
Behold- the legendary Naked Palette…
Everybody wants to look good NAKED! Far from a group of boring beige shadows, this long, lean, seductive case is packed with TWELVE gorgeous neutrals, including FIVE NEW shades, and includes our pro-quality Good Karma Shadow Brush. [description from Urban Decay website]
Price: The Naked palette retails for $48, but I paid about $55 USD for this palette on beauty bay (like the chump that I am)
I generally don’t buy palettes because I usually find that I only like half the colours/textures in each palette. I’m a single eye shadows kinda gal.
The Urban Decay Palette, on the other hand, is different. Every colour is useful, gorgeous, and pigmented (I hate it when there’s only 2 colours in a quad that has decent colour payoff), and there is a good mixture of mattes and shimmers.
I feel like I could use nothing but this palette on my eyes every day for months and be quite content- you can create looks ranging from barely there, to sooty sultry eyes. Chuck in a few bright colours in your makeup bag and you are set for that long trip you’ve been planning
To prove my point, I’ve got some Face of the Days coming up using this palette- first one to go up will be tomorrow!
ps- I just realised that I had left out ‘smog’ in my swatches. Fail!
pps- I also just realised that I’ll probably be getting the wrong kind of traffic to this post. Ah well.. nothing to see here, boys.Posted by myfunnyvalentine on Jun 22nd, 2011 in Eye shadow, Reviews, Swatches | 6001 commentSo+I+finally+got+Naked%3A+UD+Naked+Palette+review+and+swatches2011-06-22+06%3A18%3A42myfunnyvalentinehttp%3A%2F%2Fmyfunnyvalentineblog.com%2F%3Fp%3D600
