The Revlon ‘Fire and Ice’ collection was launched June this year. The ad campaign for this collection featuring Jessica Biel, and photographed by Mario Testino pays homage to a 1952 ad for Revlon’s first lipstick (also called ‘Fire and Ice’) modelled by Dorian Leigh.
There are 4 lipsticks and 4 matching nail polishes in this collection. ‘Fire and Ice’ lipstick was rereleased in limited edition vintage packaging, and there are 3 new shades joining the Super Lustrous Lipsticks family. I was given the opportunity to try the new lipsticks- ’Temptress’ , ‘Demure’, and ‘Siren’

‘Demure’ is a gorgeous peachy rose quartz shade with a soft silver shimmer. It is a sheer lipstick, with about 20% coverage. This is my favourite lipstick out of the three, and when applied it it looks and feels like you are wearing a high end lippy.
‘Temptress‘ is a cool medium pink with a slight sheen. It has medium pigmentation with approximately 50% coverage on my lips. I think that this would look best on cooler skin tones.
‘Siren’ is a bright orange. It’s almost neon on me, and I actually find it quite difficult to pull off even though I love bold lips. I feel more comfortable with the punchy reddish orange of Revlon Colorburst lipstick in ‘Coral’ on me (reviewed here).

‘Demure’ and ‘Temptress’ are both non drying and quite comfortable to wear. ’Siren’ on the other hand, gets a little dry after about an hour, so requires prepping the lips with balm before hand.
‘Demure’ wears for about 1hr on my lips (without eating or drinking) before it completely disappears, so I find myself reapplying quite often through the day. This doesn’t bother me too much, because it’s such a pretty shade.
‘Temptress’ wears for about 2hrs on my lips, which is about average for a light coloured, satin finish lipstick on my lips.
“Siren” wears for about 3.5hrs on me.
note: these products were provided to me by PR free of charge for consideration.
