Hi guys!

??
To get to know all of you a little better I’ve decided to conduct a reader survey. The information you give is completely anonymous and will not be used on it’s own- rather it will be incorporated into general trend data. The overall results may also be used in my media kit (yes, I’m finally getting around to making one.)
I would really appreciate it if you took a minute to participate.
One of the products that appealed to me the most at the preview of the Illamasqua Theatre of the Nameless collection was the Illamasqua Cream Pigment in Androgen. Probably because Mikele (one of the MUAs at Illamasqua) was wearing it on his lids and cheeks and he looked so damn gorgeous.
I must admit I squee-ed a little when I saw Androgen in my event goody bag.
price: 44 AUD (Australian rrp) 24 USD (US RRP)
availability: Illamasqua counters worldwide, Sephora , www.illamasqua.com
Androgen Cream Pigment is a multitasking hero, and is made to be used anywhere on the face.

NARS lipstick collection: Heat Wave, Casablanca, Dolce Vita, Tzigane, Viridiana, Gipsy, Porte Vecchio
Hi all!
I had the most amazing time at The Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend/ IMATS , and I can’t wait to tell you guys all about it. Once I get back home and get a chance to go through all my photos I’ll write up a proper post- here are some lippies in the meantime
I’ve decided that it’s about time I put some lip product collection swatches up on this blog. I do a lot of detailed reviews of newly acquired products, but I thought you might enjoy having birds eye view snapshots of my stash.
I think the next collection post will be Chanel or MAC.
NARS Heat Wave : Semi matte finish, extremely pigmented orange red. See one of my FOTDs with this here.
NARS Casablanca: Satin finish, ‘classic full bodied coral’ . Read my review here.
NARS Dolce Vita : Sheer ‘dusty rose’. Read ny guest review on Makeup And Beauty Blog here.

Happy friday everyone!
I hope you’ve all got a great weekend planned. I’m beyond excited about The Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend (ABBW) , which is so close I can almost taste it. I’m really looking forward to finally meeting in person the bloggers that I’ve gotten to know quite well on twitter, as well as the people behind the brands.
And of course, IMATS!!
In the meantime, here are some must read blog posts from the past couple of weeks-
Sarah from Dempeaux gracefully handles internet hostilities over the controversial issue of making your own DIY sunscreen.
Grace aka London Makeup Girl creates a beautiful look for fall with Julie Hewett products.
Xiao from Messy Wands always looks amazing in red lipstick, like this Le Metier de Beate one. I really should lock up my credit card every time I read her blog.
Mariella from Musing on Beauty creates a work friendly look with NARS Outremer eyeshadow!
Christina from Hair Romance shows us how to create a side swept updo a la Alice + Olivia NYFW.
Why did no one tell me that Tali from The Gloss Goss is blogging again? I’m so excited to see her kitten Mitzi
Gaia aka The Non Blonde gives me another Rouge Bunny Rouge want. Again.
Charlotte from Lipglossiping takes us backstage at the London Fashion Week Jean-Pierre Braganza show.
I’m kicking myself for not buying Chanel Illusoire during my last US spree because of this FOTD on Delicate Hummingbird.
As always, Jamilla from Makeup for Professional Asian Women creates a beautiful FOTD for work and play.
Be still my beating heart- another irresistable bright orange red (Rouge D’Armani #401) modelled by Julie on Beauty Snippets .
Yet another reason why you want Violet Le Beaux living next door- makeovers!

NARS Fall 2011 promo image featuring Mariacarla Boscono wearing Outremer
-
NARS Outremer single eyeshadow was released as part of NARS Fall 2011 collection (modelled by the beautiful Mariacarla Boscono in the promo images). This is one of my favourite collections from NARS in recent times and I’ve also gotten my greedy little hands on the Grand Palais eyeshadow duo which will be reviewed soon.
Price: $23 USD, $45 AUD
Availability: NARS counters worldwide, Mecca Cosmetica Australia (although I’m not sure when the release date is for Australia), www.narscosmetics.com

NARS Outremer eye shadow is a stunning matte electric blue that applies true to pan. Pigmentation is medium on the first layer but builds up dramatically to the colour you see in the promo image.
Like many of the NARS matte eye shadows I’ve played with, Outremer has a slightly chalky texture and is quite difficult to blend. Nothing a little bit of patience and layering can’t fix, but for an eyeshadow that they charge $45 for in Australia I would have hoped for a silkier texture.
