Exploring a new sensation in lip colour, Estée Lauder and Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux introduce the new Pure Color Sensuous Rouge LipColor collection, changing the modern definition of what a lipstick should be.
Two intoxicating formulas are combined to create a luscious, one-of-a-kind elixir that is introduced in 16 delicious shades. Taking cues from couture fashion, this lipstick fuses a creamy, luscious shell with a liquefied core for a lipstick that is truly uniquely decadent while marrying style and performance.
Lips will love this succulent, voluptuous lipstick that drenches in shine and moisture for a euphoric sensorial experience.

Mauve is usually a colour that I adore on everyone else’s lips but mine. I’ve never been able to find a mauve lipstick that didn’t make me look sallow and ill- until now. Meet my new lipstick of choice for work.
Orchid Surrender Sensuous Rouge Lip Color makes me feel polished and a bit little more ‘grown up’, which is great in a professional setting.
Keep reading after the jump!
Orchid Surrender is a medium mauve with soft rose shimmer. It goes on semi sheer with the first layer, and easily buildable to about 70% coverage.
Lightweight with a fair amount of ‘slip’. I wouldn’t say that it adds a lot of moisture to my lips (like Chantecaille Lip Chics can), but it is certainly non-drying and wears comfortably on lips all day.
This lippy has a wear time of about 2.5hrs before the colour fades significantly and I feel the need to reapply. This is about average for a lippy on me.
I don’t know about you, but I don’t really like gimmicky touches on lipstick like the moisturising ‘core’ in these Sensuous Rouges. Maybelline and Avon have done it in the past and I’ve never been a fan. Why not just have the two formulae together in one solid bullet?
Aside from that, I’m pretty impressed with the Sensuous Rouge in Orchid Surrender in terms of the gorgeous colour and non-drying formula.
I took this photo during my lunch break- this is literally what I wore to work. Please excuse the inflamed patches of skin peeking through the makeup- I popped my Retin-A cherry last week and my skin has gone a little nuts.
Because of all the redness and flakiness I’ve been sticking to the simplest of simple makeup looks.
- MAC Omega eyeshadow mixed with MAC Mystery eyeshadow in crease
- Virgin eyeshadow from Urban Decay Naked Palette on mobile lid
- MAC Blacktrack Fluidline upper lashline.
-MAC Posie blushcreme
-Estee Lauder Orchid Surrender Pure Color Sensuous Rouge Lip Color.
- NARS Sheer Glow mixed 1:1 with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (I’ve been mixing the Vitalumiere in with my Sheer Glow when I have very dry skin days)
- MAC Studiosculpt concealor
