Valentine’s Day is less than a day away, and frankly I can hardly wait. Tomorrow P and I are getting on a flight to Hobart for a much needed holiday (the last time I managed to get away for a holiday was my trip to New York in November 2011, and it’s getting to the stage where just getting through each day at work felt like torture. First world problems? Perhaps.)
Although I’m not a huge fan of chocolate or flowers, I do like having something pretty on my lips during V day. Miranda from Clinique HQ very kindly sent me her favourite Valentine’s lip products : Clinique Chunky Cherry Chubby Stick and Clinique Extreme Pink High Impact Lip Colour. I thought I would swatch, review, and FOTD them for you, loved up reader.
Price: Chubby Sticks: $35.00 AUD, High Impact Lip Colour: $36.00 AUD

Clinique Chunky Cherry Chubby Stick is my favourite out of the two, and in my opinion, the perfect Valentine’s lip. It’s a shemi sheer strawberry pink with a distinctly juicy finish. It is essentially a tinted lip balm which means that it leaves the lips soft, and Chunky Cherry gets kissed off it won’t leave a guilty, X-rated stain on both parties. Out of the Clinique Chubby sticks this is my favourite one due to the impressive pigmentation and the decent lasting power.
Clinique Extreme Pink High Impact Lip Colour is a deep pink mauve with an almost metallic fuschia frost finish, which I think would suit cool, pale skintones best. I like blending this with my fingers to mute the frostiness of the lippy so that you get a delicate fuschia sheen rather than the full-on frost finish that you get straight from the tube. Extreme Pink High Impact Lip Colour feels creamy and comfortable on the lips, and has excellent staying power.
And just for a laugh….
