One of the first orders of business after moving to Melbourne for me was to do something about the skanky roots and touch up my colour.
I took myself to Oscar Oscar salon in Chadstone a few weeks ago for my colourist appointment. I loved my previous colour, which was a dark red mahogany, but this time I wanted to amp up the colour a notch.
I was surprised and impressed that before I said a thing, my colourist (the lovely Gabby), and the salon partner (Jackie) already knew all about my previous hair history at Oscar Oscar. So they knew that my natural hair colour was not going to lift very much with the permanent dye and I was going to need a bleach cleanse.
This kind of service is not easy to come by.
And the COLOUR. Oh my goodness I love the colour.
I find that I need to rethink some of my makeup and outfit choices with the new hair colour, as many new red head have before me, but I don’t mind.
The total cost came to around $300 (I got a small VIP discount) , which is a lot for me to spend on my hair; but with a colour like this I would prefer a really good colourist to handle. Also, I guess the next touchups won’t require root to tip treatment so it should be significantly cheaper.
