Have you noticed anything new around here? MFV has had a little makeover, with refreshingly minimalistic banner design thanks to the lovely people at Studio Eyeberg   – the older I get the more I enjoy simplicity in design.

I also figured out how to crop images in a circle! All of the image editing software I’ve used in the past have only been able to crop squares and rectangles, but I discovered recently (through a little bit of googling) that there are online editors that will actually crop circles – some do it better than others. I like www.tuxpi.com – that’s what I used for my ‘About’ picture on the sidebar. So easy, I don’t know why I hadn”t done it earlier.

So getting to the topic of this post-here is the look I wore a couple of weekends back. I adore the combination of khaki and mustard yellow/brown- it has a warmth and a certain safari chic (see Lanvin RTW S/S 2011 for the definition of safari chic). MAC Flourishing and MAC Uninterrupted are amongst my favourite MAC mattes in terms of texture (as we all know MAC can be pretty hit and miss with their mattes), and I think they work so well together in an eyeshadow look.
