With all the moving I’ve been pretty disciplined with holding back from too many unnecessary makeup purchases (although, I suppose “unnecessary” was always open to interpretation). The Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales this year for ASOS beauty and NARS were too good to resist, and I bought some things I’ve been lusting over for ages. I also stocked up on a couple of bottles of my HG foundation- NARS Sheer Glow in Fiji.
I’ve had a good play with most of the products already, and am really taken with Watercolour blush in Gentle, NARS Red Square, and NARS Mozambique. Reviews on their way…

It has been a long time since I purchased more than one or two makeup products in one go (moving around a lot makes you reconsider buying large quantities of anything)- so I thought it was about time to give into a few lemmings and also restock some necessary basics. Thank you Elise for helping a sister out.
Reviews and swatches will be up shortly!
Le Blush Creme De Chanel in Destiny:
I’ve heard so much about these blushes, and fell in love with this shade when I swatched it.
MAC Stud Eyebrow Pencil:
Great product, and the 3rd repurchase.
Urban Decay Lip Pencil in Ozone:
I bought this to keep my bleedy lip products in line. OCC Lip Tars, Lush liquid lipsticks etc.
Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Kohl Kajal Eyeliner Trio:
Loved their Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing eyeliner trio, so I thought I would give these a try.
Bobbi Brown Long- Wear Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink:
My HG gel eyeliner. 3rd repurchase.
Diorshow Fusion Mono eyeshadow in Millenium:
I am a sucker for cream eyeshadows and it was love at first swatch when I was checking out the Dior Mystic Metallics collection.
Becca Ultimate Colour Gloss in Hummingbird:
Love the Becca formula and couldn’t resist throwing this one in.

If you follow my tweets, you may have heard my angry rants about how Kiss And Makeup NY lost my parcel, and how awful their customer service was. I had spent over $100 on an order, which never arrived. After 4 weeks of waiting, I starting emailing them to find out whether there were any delays they knew about- each time I emailed them, they took forever to reply (with a generic ‘sometimes things take longer through customs, give it another few weeks’ answer). In the end I never received my package, and Kiss And Makeup NY customer service essentially told me that it was my fault that I didn’t insure my items.
I mourned for my lost package for about a month, then I decided to reorder some of the items and pick up a few more things at Nordstrom. Elise from Stuff That I Bought kindly offered to be my makeup mule since she is living in New York at the moment, so here are my new pretties! (thanks Elise, you are the best thing ever).

This is what I left with….
Lip Tars! They were $14.00 at IMATS so I stocked up.
- Memento: light dusty pink
- Beta: (blindingly) bright orange.
- Stalker: Watermelon red
- NSFW: True red with a very slight brown base.
From the MAC Pro store-
MAC Chromagraphic Pencil in NC15/NW20 (I was so happy to nab this because I missed getting it with the Pret A Papier collection, and the nearest MAC Pro store was a huge pain to get to).
Quite Natural Paint Pot: I bought this at IMATS because I was under the impression that it was a Pro product because of a conversation I had at a MAC counter a fortnight before this.
[at the MAC counter at Myer]
me: Do you stock Quite Natural paint pot?
MAC sales assistant: you mean, Painterly paint pot? (clearly thinking I had said ‘do you stock a quite natural p/p)
me: um.. no, I’m after Quite Natural Paint Pot.
MAC sales assistant: yes, Painterly gives a very natural look (looking at me like I’m deaf or possibly intellectually disabled)
me: Oh, no sorry I meant the actual Paint Pot called ‘Quite Natural’. I can’t see it on the display, is it a Pro product?
MAC sales assistant: It’s probably Pro or part of a previous limited edition collection.
Anyhow, turns out that it’s not a Pro product at all and I should have bought it from the MAC online store from the US like I normally do.
