Saturday Skin Care: Korres Milk Proteins 3 in 1 cleansing emulsion

Korres milk proetines 3 in cleansing emulsionWhen I ordered my Clarisonic Mia from Skinstore.com I also picked up a bottle of the Korres Milk Proteins 3 in 1 cleaning emulsion  because of all the rave reviews I’ve read on blogs and www.makeupalley.com.
I’ve never had much luck with cream cleansers in the past-they never seemed to leave my face very clean. I’m glad I tried this product though because I absolutely adore it.
Description from Sephora website:
“This 3-in-1 cleansing, toning, and eye make-up removing emulsion is ideal for very dry skin and for those who wish to avoid cleansing with water. It instantly cleanses the skin of impurities, leaving it soft, and clean – never dry”
Price:
I got it from Skinstore.com for 21USD.

My impressions:

I don’t ask much from my cleansers, or expect things like anti aging miracles . I just want them to do a good job of cleaning without using harsh surfactants (like sodium laureth sulfate) that would irritate and dry out my skin. I also want my cleansers to be be free of potentially toxic ingredients where possible (parabens, pthalates, petrochemicals etc).
This Korres cleanser ticks all the boxes and more. My skin not only feels very clean, but actually hydrated and velvety after cleansing.

It is a cross between and cream cleanser and a cleansing milk in terms of consistency, and completely scent free. I recommend this to anyone with dry to normal, combination, or sensitive skin.
Korres milk proteins 3in1 cleaning emulsion
Pros:

+ Cleans my skin effectively but without stripping the skin.

+ Skin feels lovely and soft after each use.
+ reasonably good makeup remover (removes liquid eye liner but still struggles a bit with waterproof mascara)

+  free from Sulfates, pthalates, petrochemicals, and synthetic fragrances.
+ can be used as a cleanser without need for water for extremely sensitive skin (I still like to rinse off with warm water, it just seems so much cleaner)
 Cons:

– Sucky packaging. Why not put a cap that clicks open rather than one that you have screw off and inevitably drop?

Would I repurchase? Oh hells yes! I won’t buy it in Australia though because of the exorbitant prices, but next time I make a Skincare store purchase I will pick up another bottle or two.

So I can FINALLY clean my camera lens without fear…

O Hai!

I picked this up a few days ago and thought I would show it to you guys. Nifty camera lens cleaner! it’s a brush on one end to get rid of loose grit, and a pad on the other with some sort of carbon substance that gets rid of oily marks.

Clearly, I am very easily excited.

It works like a charm. No mess, no scratches. Cost me $18.95 at Camera House.
