Star Struck: Dior Bonne Etoile FOTD

Dior Bonne Etoile FOTD seafoam green and blue eye makeup

I wore a soft smoky eye last weekend, using my new Dior 5 Couleurs palette in Bonne Etoile (French for ‘lucky star’). The shadows are so finely milled and silky looking on the eye it’s unbelievable (swatches and detailed photos in my previous review).  I quite like the dreamy quality of this colour combination- what do you think?

Naked Palette FOTD #1- wearable coppery pink eye makeup

As promised, this is the first in a series of looks I am going to do using my new Urban Decay Naked Palette. One of the eye shadows in the Urban Decay Naked palette that I couldn’t wait to try first was ‘toasted’- a soft pinkish coppery shimmer.

I’ve been looking for a wearable neutral pink/brown shade for a long time, and until now haven’t really found one that I liked. MAC All That Glitters, and Expensive Pink doesn’t show up very well on my lids and tends to go a bit orange on me (though they both look SO pretty in the pan, and on other people- grrrrr)

I keep forgetting how much I adore Chanel Rouge Coco in ‘Mademoiselle’, but when I pull it out every so often to use it I fall in love again and again. The perfect chic rose colour and full coverage in one swipe.

Unfortunately my lil sis has totally smooshed the top of the lippy, so while it’s still usable- I won’t be doing a review any time soon 🙁

Stay tuned for my Naked Palette FOTD #2, which will be a gunmetal smokey eye.
