Hello beautiful people!
I’ve been seriously crushing on the OCC Lip Tars lately. They are truly extraordinary, and completely different to any other lip product I have come across.
One of the main reasons why I love the OCC Lip Tars so much, and why they are so popular amongst makeup artists, is the fact that they are designed to be mixed to create custom lip colours. This is not the first time I’ve tried to create a custom lip colour from Lip Tars, but it’s the first time I’ve been able to bottle my mixes in a container that travels well without leaking.
First things first- here is my OCC Lip Tar collection:

I love cream eyeshadows and cream blushes. So much. I’m not sure what it is, but they are infinitely more fun to use than their pressed powder counterparts- perhaps it’s because it’s like very expensive finger painting?
Either way, I adore my little collection of MAC Paint Pots and thought I would swatch them for you. I’m not going into too much detail here but if you want a full review, see my post on Blackground Paint Pot. All four have quite similar texture and performance. I love using them as an eyeshadow base to create depth and intensity, and to increase the wear time of eye shadows.
Price: 17 USD ( US rrp) 35 AUD (Australia RRP)
Availability: MAC counters worldwide.
Jerry from Silhouette Screams blog has pointed out in the comments that Artifact Paint Pot is discontinued. It’s a sad day for eye shadows.
Quite Natural Paint Pot – Matte medium brown. It is my only completely matte shade out of the four, and has the best staying power of all of them (really nothing short of amazing).
Artifact Paint Pot- Plummy cranberry with a satin finish.
Constructivist Paint Pot- Dark bronzey brown with a satin finish.
Blackground Paint Pot- Dark grey first layer, becomes black with second. Satin finish. I’ve reviewed Blackground in detail here.

I had the most amazing time at The Australian Beauty Bloggers Weekend/ IMATS , and I can’t wait to tell you guys all about it. Once I get back home and get a chance to go through all my photos I’ll write up a proper post- here are some lippies in the meantime
I’ve decided that it’s about time I put some lip product collection swatches up on this blog. I do a lot of detailed reviews of newly acquired products, but I thought you might enjoy having birds eye view snapshots of my stash.
I think the next collection post will be Chanel or MAC.
NARS Heat Wave : Semi matte finish, extremely pigmented orange red. See one of my FOTDs with this here.
